Danielle A. Kirby, Associate Attorney

Danielle A. Kirby is an associate attorney with JBR Law Group, LLC., where she focuses her practice on business and employment matters. Ms. Kirby assists executives and businesses from startups to large corporations in contracts and litigation within her practice areas. Since beginning her legal career at JBR Law Group, LLC., where she started as a law clerk, Ms. Kirby has gained valuable experience handling employment discrimination claims brought under Title VII including discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 1983 and various other federal and state civil rights laws. She has also gained considerable experience in navigating complex wage & hour class and collective actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Illinois Minimum Wage Law (IMWL), the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act (IWPCA), and the Chicago Minimum Wage Ordinance (CMWO) in federal civil litigation as well as investigations before the United States Department of Labor and local administrative agencies. Moreover, Ms. Kirby works with firm clients as needed on developing or maintaining compliance employment law policies and handling other sensitive workplace issues.

Ms. Kirby received her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois in May 2017 where she graduated in the top of her class. Ms. Kirby obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in May 2010, graduating with majors in political science and philosophy. While in law school, she received the Samuel W. Witwer Award for Excellence in the study of the Illinois Constitution.

Kasandra Hernandez, Paralegal

Kasandra Hernandez is a recent graduate of the DePaul University College of Law with several years of experience working on complex defense matters. While in law school, she also worked full-time as a Paralegal where she was exposed to all areas of the litigation process including legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery, extensive document review and trial preparation.  

Kasandra has a Bachelor’s degree from the Inter-Americana University of Puerto Rico in Criminal Justice and is fluent in Spanish and English.
